When it comes to knowing his wood and producing fine thin strips for the budding DIYer or skilled craftsman, then Richard Burbidge knows his stuff. This is at the less ornate end of his range - square edged and pine. I'd have liked to see it in beech or yew perhaps, but then I was going to paint it so didn't need a fine grain.
When choosing these strips watch-out for those that are warped, split or with large knots in them. The strip I chose was clean and straight which is why it's a 5 star item. It's now glued to a shelf edge and painted white so you'd never know it was there - but I know it is and I know it's a Richard Burbidge strip and that's what counts for me.
