Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Strong and efficient Capable of severing branches as think as an adult finger. Only extends perhaps 40 cm, but handles were already around 60cm long. Appears very sturdy so far. Light weight. (Bought for trimming leylandii (sp?) in November 2014) 13 November 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't waste your money on this product I bought these loppers at the end of last season to replace a different brand I'd had for a few years. I remembered my Dad's Qualcast mower being robust and long lasting - sadly this product is the opposite. After only a couple of uses the handles worked loose meaning they never stayed locked in position. Just opening and closing them would release the handles, sometimes one or both, so they were never the length I wanted them. After light use this season one of the handles just came out of the socket along with the bits that broke inside, rendering them useless (well more useless than they were). Unfortunately I couldn't find my receipt to take them back to Homebase, so went out and bought a decent pair of Fiskars loppers from another retailer. The Qualcast product is a flawed design, made worse by poor quality. Do yourself a favour and put your money towards something much better! There's nothing to commend about this product and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. 01 September 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Faulty handle Bought two of these at the same time, both developed faults after very little use. On one of them the locking mechanism on the telescopic handle dropped off, on the other the locking mechanism keeps coming undone making it difficult to use. Looks like a design fault. 23 June 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not as expected The most expensive loppers i have ever brought and the worse. The telescopic handle one side will not stay closed while in use, so it keeps expanding out and one has to stop to push it back up up and move the switch to close again. Very annoying and not worth the money. Possible design fault as open/close "switch" is at bottom of handle where your hands are, so one can move it accidently. But it only happens one side so not sure. 14 April 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by OK. But poor handle design Powerful loppers that make quick work of even chunky branches. However the design of the telescopic handles is poor. The twist and lock mechanism keeps coming undone and the handles keep sliding about. Gets a bit annoying after a while. 11 April 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very poor quality Thought cost & brand name ensured a good quality product, had to return item , worst purchase made in a long time. 06 March 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by good quality loppers little loose when extended but does the job well 06 March 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by ok tool works fine but needs a fair amount of muscle as it is quite stiff. 09 January 2013
