At Homebase's price a good buy, though I think I'd be fairly disapointed if I'd paid £140 .The 3 position cut height adjustment too course; at mid height doesn't look as if grass recently cut, at lower height it is too low, skimming surface and "bodywork" digs into ground. In fairness, Qualcast do claim it is for "small, flat" lawns, but they really do mean flat, ie billiard table. I have had to perform physical modifcations to use it on what my neighbours consider an excellent lawn, but clearly not flat by Qualcast standards. Blade clearance adjustment too critical, very difficult to get it between a clean cut and rotor clattering on the fixed blade. Grass collection excellent! So not brilliant, but a good buy if you are willing to perform some DIY and careful adjustments to get it to its best.

Doesn't cut as low as the old one but quieter but could be due to age of the old one

A friend recommended the lawn mower and I am very happy with the results as I had a hover mower before and it seemed to drag the lawn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by richard only one problem
on assembling one the cable tidy was defective and broke
contacting qualcast has resulting in a reply which says they do not stock replacements and to pack the mower up and return it to homebase.... why when a small part could easily be sent...
who is responsible for guarantee provisions
it would cost much more to replce this mower than just to send a small part
This bit is useful but the mower of course works ok without it!!
its a pain for something almost trivial

The cut grass is blown into the grass box at too high a speed - it tends to blow back out. Long grass is pressed flat by the front roller and stays too low for the blades to cut it efficiently. The handle drops down at every opportunity. The mower is light, easy to handle except as above, and certainly cuts some lengths and dampnesses of grass well. With the rollers front and rear it does not tend to dig in to soft ground like many mowers do.
