This toilet has a plastic 'washer' between the cistern and the bowl. It is not sufficient as it bends and compresses allowing leaks. I replaced it with a metal one. The toilet has not had heavy use yet but so far no leaks.
Also the toilet seat that comes with it is way too small and the porcelain rim is quite visible.
I will be requesting a better fitting seat from Homebase.
Good value for money otherwise and a lovely simple traditional shape

Had the misfortune of fitting one of these toilets this afternoon for my son. The cistern was taken off the toilet half a dozen times - seal turned over, turned back, tried sealing with silicon - still leaks from the seal. Water shooting out all over the place. This toilet is garbage - four hours wasted - it will be going back to Homebase. Avoid at all cost.

Bought this last last year in the sale, thought it looked good and was half price so we seemed to be getting a good deal. Having had to wait for new bathroom to be ready to fit we were looking forward to our new suit. Firstly the cistern fill would not stop so had to replace then our plumber could not get a seal between the cistern and bowl and as a result the toilet leaks continuously. We Ordered a better quality plate(metal) as the one supplied is plastic and thought it was flexing too much when the bolts were tightened. Still cannot get a seal and toilet still leaks and cannot be used. On closer inspection it would appear that the hole in toilet where cistern is coupled is uneven on its edges thus prevents a watertight seal. We are about buy a new toilet since we have exhausted all options to stop the leak.

Super looking toilet but unfortunately we have had nothing but trouble with it. We got a professional plumber to fit it but there was a leak dripping out from the cistern fixing. Now we have a problem with the flush keep ticking over which is causing condensation on the outside of the loo because of the cold water :( Would avoid this one based on our experience I'm afraid!
