Rated 5 out of 5 by Liam Excellent compost
This is a loamy compost, which drains well. So it is best used for potting on with plants that prefer well drained soil.
It is also excellent for filling in patchy lawns where patches have developed over the winter (in my case due to the local pets digging holes). Grass seed germinates very quickly when used with this compost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Highlands Dave Good quality John Innes mix
Have used this product for a couple of years now. Very good for adding to a multi purpose compost to "beef it up".
Does what it says on the bag. Good quality stuff.

Only just potted up seedlings so waiting to see how they do. Used John Innes where I used to work so I trust them. Compost moist already and seems like it will drain well as finely gritty! Great.

When you are doing gardening or potting up do use only John Innes, and noe a peat mixture. The real John Innes is more expensive, but is the only one to get top class plants-go for it.

In all seriousness, good compost is getting really hard to find in UK garden centers. However the John Innes #2 and #3 from Homebase are genuinely good composts. Thanks!

This is a genuinely great product and helps my plants to grow and flourish. There is no other compost for me but john inniss no 2 and 3 which is well worth the price, its value but its quite heavy to carry.

Very handy service - check stock on-line then send my better half to collect. Very helpful store staff helped load the car. Seed trays filled, seeds planted, already coming on. Just need some decent weather to plant out. Job done.
