I must have a ‘Friday Afternoon’ set judging by the other reviews. Decided to purchase a new set to keep as good and continue to abuse my old set.
Used them for the first time today and am far from impressed. They were DIY sharp but no more new from the box; I couldn’t pare properly with any of them. The job was to hang two (cheap internal) doors and install sash locks, all the chisels were blunt with distinct burs by the time I was halfway through (and I’d hardly used the 19mm).
The material of the handles does have a nice feel but the shape I found awkward though this is subjective. Personally I feel the shape would be great bench working but the ergonomics fail in the field.
Overall I will not be recommending these any time soon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leo Good but do not try to pull too hard if stuck
I used the chisel to shop a cheery tree root in my garden as it was the only way to cut it, (very limited access).
You can hit them on the head with full force, even laterally and they will do the job.
because of the softness of the root two of them got stuck and I used a demolition bar to lose them but the handles came off in both occasions.
I thought that the two metallic bits were connected all the way and that the plastic handle was there for ergonomic purposes, but they are actually three separate pieces. I eventually managed to take the metallic bit out. and put it back together. and the chisels still work.
My suggestion to the manufacturer would be to make it one piece, so if you pull it hard, it will not come apart. or at least have a T shape blade, so you can fork it with the demolition bar or a hummer without braking it.
Still i will recommend it if you are never going to be stuck, they are very comfortable to handle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Geoff Sturdy and Sharp
Sturdy and sharp well manufactured chisels are what every diy joiner and carpenter needs. These meet all the requirements; they have a keen edge and retain their sharpness well even with hardwoods. A comfortable grip and robust cap allows more than a gentle blow when the job demands. Nice colour too. Not the cheapest nor the most expensive; this is a great set for infrequent or regular use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ginger great value
This chisel set is excellent value. The 3 sizes gives you scope for a wide range of work.
The handles are sized pefectly to form a firm grip, the metal ends provide a perfect surface in which to strike with a hammer, without damaging the actual handle.
The hard plastic carry case is ideal to keep the chisels together.
All in all this set is great value for someone looking to do work around the home.
