Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by easy application, quick drying, good smooth finish allowing grain to show on oak and other grained timbers where required. also good on previously painted surfaces after correct preparation. hardwearing and easily cleaned off brushes etc. best advice is to use easily controlled smaller cans , as prevents skin forming while painting due to quick dry properties would definitely recommend this product as am completely satisfied with the end result. 13 April 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Soothing white? No chance! This shouldnt be named soothing white as its as soothing as a burst vein in your forehead as its zctually a very light blue, which when painted on doors and skirtings looks dirty and very wrong! I took it back an exchanged it for a crown satin in brilliant white instead. 22 August 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not as expected Soothing white was on the tin - a nice off-white I thought. Wrong. This paint has a distinguishable tinge of blue - making the finish very cold looking. Hoping that the colour would change during the drying process, I was disappointed - it didn't. A trip to another retailer was in order and I purchased a white that stayed white. Having said that, the quality of the paint was fine. Its just the name of the colour is a little misguiding. 14 November 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very thin - poor quality This paint is awful. It is very runny even though I stirred it as instructed. This means that it ends up everywhere when you are trying to apply it. Also brushes cannot be cleaned in water making cleaning up afterwards more difficult. On the plus side - the colour is nice and the finish was ok when dry. However the difficulty in applying it means that I would not recommend it. 06 February 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what I expected I had just repainted my room using brilliant white matt and bought this paint for the doors and skirts. I had applied a white undercoat previous to using this paint. The 'soothing white' actually looked silver grey against the brilliant white walls, and was not what I expected or wanted. Had to repaint with a brilliant white. Quality OK, just not expecting the colour. 09 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good product Good quality, fits with other furnishings brilliantly. 13 July 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good - well pleased We were very pleased with our choice of paint. Gone was the lingering smell of paint that seemed to take a week to go and it dried quite quickly. Because it had dried reasonably quickly I got up the following morning fully expecting to see streaks in the coverage and was very pleasently surprised to see it had dried superbly well. Well done Homebase. 05 February 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by does the job i found this went quite a long way, i used in on my cupboard door in the hall, it does dry quick and only one coats is sufficiant. the only thing is it looks grey when painting over white, but once on it looks lovely 13 October 2010
