I'm a decent home DIY-er, but this curtain rail has caused me loads of hassle. It went together OK, and was simple enough to install, but the constituent parts are cheap and nasty and it doesn't work well at all. After a few weeks of light use in a bay window with not-very-heavy curtains, the strings tangled and then came of the shuttle and parts snapped under straight-forward use, jamming my curtains. I've had to take the rail down and bodge back together it twice now. No doubt I'll have to do it again soon enough. This is a badly-designed, not fit-for-purpose, cheap plastic piece of tat. The problems relate to pre-installed or pre-constructed parts and the poor quality of the overall item. I'm very unhappy with it, and very unhappy with Homebase for selling it to me. Avoid this curtain rail. Do not buy it. You'll regret it like I do!

Cant rate product only sales department, as not sure how easy it is to fit:
Pitty the video is for the light weight coil track.
No use when you are looking for a 'monster track'!

We bought this heavy duty curtain track to replace a Swish one we have had for 16years. It was very difficult to fix because we have a half bay window and there wasnt enough base brackets to accomodate the bend. The mounting brackets are very difficult to snap onto the rail infact I think a wrestler would have found it difficult. We had to get help to clip the brackets on. Our previous track just clipped on and then had some levers to secure the rail. This is the worse track I have got in the house and I even havent hung the curtains yet. It took 2 people about 3 hours to fit so lets hope it holds my curtains.

I bought this product at a higher cost than equivalent rails as I was hoping for a durable and good quality curtain rail. Unfortunately I found the rail to be rather flimy and it buckled when bendig around corners according to the product instructions. The rails do not run smoothly as hoped.

After putting up the track in a rounded bay window, and before hanging the curtains, when testing it, the mechanism did not run smoothly and the runners and/or cord got jammed at the bend in the bay. I had to return the track and hence we were inconvenienced and wasted time and energy putting up/taking down the track and returning it to the store.( I already have an uncorded version of this track system, also in a bay window, and although it does not run perfectly smoothly, it does do a reasonable job.)

The rail works well but does not give any instructions as to how to succesfully bend into shape when being fitted around a bay window.
I ended up pouring boilng wated over the section to be bent and then moulding it around a tin can. Without that the rail was buckling which prevented the hooks from sliding around the bend.

Well designed, easy instructions, and stronger curtain attachments than others I have previously purchased.
