I used this product to paint one coat emulsion, but the emulsion was so thick it completely destroyed the pad. The sponge tore at the base of two of the ridges, and started to peel away from the backing.
However, the idea of having a ridged pad is a good one. I'm sure it would be fine with normal emulsion.

The handle is wobbly and moves when you are trying to paint. Useless.
Returned to store and refunded without question.

Prefer to use pads for painting large areas. Usually buy the cheap basic ones which do the job perfectly well, however none in stock so bought this one which cost nearly twice as much. Unlike the basic pads the pad in this model doesn't overlap the holder so you cannot get right in to the edges. Also, the mechanism which is supposed to allow angle adjustment didn't work (either poor design or manufacture). Gave up using after 2 minutes and returned to manufacturer. To be fair, they sent me a new one although haven't used it yet!

This is the the worst paint pad I have ever purchased. The clips to keep the paint pad in the holder are so small that when the pad has paint on it the pad falls out!! It would have been better to smear the paint on the wall with my bear hands because that's where most of the paint ended up, especially after having to pick up the paint pad so many times from the floor. Also the ridges on the pad leave lines on the wall. Many of the reviews on here are very positive so I can't understand what happened to the set I bought........faulty batch?

Purchased one of these today to use one my ceiling.
Love the adjustable angle feature but the pad every time I put it into the paint in a tray popped off at the corners when lifting it back out.
Unfortunately I had to revert back to my normal paint pads.

Just...awful. The pad falls off every time its loaded with paint due to terrible design which is basically 8 very small and narrow clips which are supposed to grip the edge of the flexible plastic back of the pad.
Once the pad falls off, its a case of getting paint all over your hands to try and wedge is back on, only for it to call off again. It's now in the bin.
I have never posted a review but felt compelled to if it helps someone avoid the unecessary expense of buying this. I wouldn't use it if they were giving them away free! It's a shame I have to give it even 1 star.

I was recommended this pad over the standard flat surfaced pad. It was supposed to not drag or cling to the surface so much. I found that it juddered as it was pulled downwards and left ridge marks as a consequence. I have returned to the original flat design.
