Bought two large boxes from two different stores.
Prepared the bare lawn patches really well.
Sowed the seeds and covered in sifted topsoil.
Conditions were ideal - rain showers and warmth.
Virtually nothing grew and useless seeds could still be seen.
Just yards away the verges that the council seeded at the same time were great.
Will never willingly buy this or any other Westland product ever again.
Notet that although the box say "guaranteed to grow", Westland are so confident there is
absolutely no information on what this means or how to make a claim against the guarantee.
Don't waste your time or money.

The Gro-sure seed is a brilliant grass seed that really does provide great results. Used mine to seed a whole garden and it has grown lovely.

We have a tiny London lawn that gets little light and children who give it lots of wear - this always sprouts snd grows to maturity, even if the Light means a lot dies back at the end of the season.

I've tried filling in patches and thickening lawns for years. Seed that I've bought never seemed to grow. Golly gosh - Westland's 'Gro Sure' does exactly what it says on the tin, err, box. I sprinkled their lawn seed around an area where a fir tree has been removed and to my amazement - two weeks - later - beautiful green shoots! I felt like Monty Don! I didn't even bother watering it in. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Martin Shewry It works fine
I scattered the seeds quite thickly to create a new border. Then covered with a thin sprinkling of sieved soil. Then well soaked with a watering can, repeated daily. The bright green shoots came through in a few short days. But don't mow too close too soon or you'll just rip them up. Repeat the whole process on any small bare patches where the shoots did not appear.
