It works best with the thicker cord. But I find it not so good getting a close to the ground cut. There is a peace at its have that prevents you from getting close cut ????

A quality product that was excellent value for money.
Typical Bosch product; well made, sturdy and worked straight out of the box.

Really felt let down by this. Certainly lighter than my old strimmer but after just one use , the trimming cord broke and is proving almost impossible to extend again. Also proving, even in the short time I used it, not particularly manoeuvrable. Would avoid this like the plague.

Completely agree with Graham. The strimmer only operates for a few seconds before the cord breaks. It's then necessary to turn the strimmer upside down, press the feed button, and pull out the cord manually because it won't autofeed. A waste of money!

Extremely poor quality. Line snaps on impact most of the time, and when it doesn't, it melts like butter.
Does not do what it's supposed to do at all.
This was bought to replace an older Flymo that had been giving great service for years and years. Chose the Bosch this time because it was on offer. Now taken it back and changed it for the modern-day Flymo equivalent. Not used that one yet, but just putting it together, it seems like much better quality altogether - and the instructions are much better than the awful Bosch ones too.

Have owned this item for 4 years and it's still going strong despite being worked hard! My garden grows out of control very fast but the combi trim easily copes with everything from smaller brambles to large clumps of nettles and countless other weeds that try to take over the grass.
I tend to use the strong line the majority of the time as the thinner one tends to break easily. Would give 5 *'s if it weren't for the fact that I find it near impossible to buy the packs of strong line strips locally, even though the DIY store I purchased my trimmer from still sells them! I purchase the strips online which can incur postage costs. Regardless, if it broke, I would buy the same again.

Probably the most useless piece of garden equipment I have ever had the misfortune to own.
I have had mine for 12 months, as well as problems with the strimmer head breaking frequently, the plastic cowl is now split and the battery doesn't hold its charge.
A complete waste for money.
