Sleeper Bench - 1.2m is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor Quality - very 'raw' product This bench is only suitable for the garden (and pretty much out of sight) due to the fact it is still in a very raw state when delivered. It is rough, and has multiple green stains throughout, which I believe is down to the treatment it has had. That being said, this treatment should in no way be considered as a finishing stain. The wood still looks 'bare'. After myself and my partner put a considerable number of hours work on this bench - sanding, treating, staining etc. it was only then suitable to be on display. However, once we had given it this attention, it ended up looking pretty much like the picture - and we were pleased with the end result. However, we had not expected the bench to require so much attention.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What we were looking for Encouraged by the reviewer who said that "this was only really any good for putting your wellingtons on", we ordered it ... to have somewhere to sit and put our boots on. It is ideal for that. In old money it is only 8 inches wide front to back and 18 inches tall, but serves its intended purpose well. It arrived within a week of ordering, via carrier, to the front door. One reviewer said that they had to re-drill all the holes: ours came with screws, but without holes, so a drill was required. It went together fine, but then my husband does have an "O" Level in Woodwork (very 80's). It had a few rough edges but he has sanded it down and stained it dark to match the other garden furniture. If you want a sturdy outdoor bench for occasional use, this may be the thing for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent product let down by packing and delivery The product arrived x 2 with one missing a set of 4 battens. It's such a tiny inexpensive part of the overall product which rendered the whole thing useless until resolved. The support person on the phone was excellent and eventually we received these battens. This kind of issue is so easily avoided with more care and checking because from my point of view I would have preferred to have waited for a complete order. I think the issue was exacerbated by the fact that the product was supplied by Forest Garden direct and Homebase were not in the loop. Homebase themselves were excellent in their support and ownership of the issue but it was such a shame that this simple mistake happened and this went wrong in the first place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor finish...poorer delivery speed Bench took 3 weeks to arrive and 5 calls to chase up!Poor finish, wood stained with marks where packaging had been wrapped around. Very difficult to put together.Legs should have slotted in easily...my husband had to drill holes larger and batter legs in with a mallet. It looks better now I have scrubbed it and sanded out marks and rough parts but I should not have needed to do this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks Great First Bench delivered was drilled incorrectly so unable to assemble. Replaced without hassle by supplier. Quite hard to fit the legs into their slots but once assembled it looks great and we are very happy with the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ok but The bench is ok but I thought it would be a little more substantial, the width of the sleeper where you sit seems a little narrow so wouldn't want to sit for too long ok for sitting and putting your wellingtons on

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish and useful Solid, stylish bench, looks good in a range of settings. The wood has been treated with a copper compound preservative so it has some greenish speckles but still looks good. The first bench delivered had a large green stain where the sap had reacted with the copper but the supplier replaced it very quickly.
