Farrow & Ball Estate No.2004 Slipper Satin - Eggshell Paint - 2.5L is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality paint as always from Farrow and Ball I have been using Farrow and Ball paints for a few years now and have never found them to be anything less than excellent. Yes they arent cheap but you get what you pay for. The paint is easy to work with, covers well and they are extremely durable. As they are water based paints too you do not get any "yellowing" over time (unlike some other big brands). Another bonus of being water based is that when you have finished painting, you can clean your brushes with water and not chemicals. If you haven't used Farrow and Ball before, give them a try. You will not be disappointed. I will never use anything else again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Farrow and Ball upcycling! Farrow and Ball wood paint (interior eggshell) was excellent for painting my pine wooden bed and the wood veneer bath panel. I bought a cheaper alternative paint for wood and it was useless. It said on the tin that it was water based but it had an oil film on the top when I opened it. It did not cover the bed at all. 'You get what you pay for' rings true in this case. I then bought the F&B paint and had no problems. The result is wonderful. I am delighted with my upcycled bed. The only thing I would say is that it would be useful if F&B sold sample pots of the wood paint (they only sell sample sized pots of the emulsion). This would be useful to check the colour is right beforehand and also it would be useful for painting over small scratches as I have now used the whole large pot that I bought an would not want to purchase a large pot just to go over small scratches in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous colour As always, Farrow and Ball is very high quality. Slipper Satin has a lovely ethereal look. Have painted an old wooden fireplace and it and it has transformed it. Worth the extra money over ordinary paints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous paint We nearly went crazy looking at shades of white to do the hall with, and almost ended up thinking it didn't make any difference. We wanted something hardwearing, obviously - but also something interesting, as we don't want to do it again, not in our lifetime. it's quite a big, dark hall. We didn't mind about the label, and many people told us that the whole F&B 'depth' of colour thing was a load of rubbish, but honestly, having chosen this colour (and White Tie emulsion for the walls) - I can honestly say I don't think it's true. F&B is quality paint, and as you live with them you really do experience the subtleties of the colours - even shades of white. Slipper Satin Eggshell just sets off everything nicely, and we have used it on all the woodwork in the hall and upstairs. Beautiful and classy. Worth the outlay.
