Very nice paint to use and looks great on the ceiling, slight crazing on some filler which needed another coat.

Farrow and ball is great paint to use. It goes on extremely easy. The only downside to their emulsion is that it marks very easily if you brush up against it. You can't wipe it either as the paint comes off on the cloth. Not recommended for busy areas in the house

These paints may seem expensive when compared to others, but I think they actually work out cheaper in the event.
The secret is in the quantity and quality of the pigment they contain. I had used various strong shades of tester pots all over a patch of white wall, all of them two coats deep and applied thickly with a brush. When I applied a single coat of this paint with a roller, it completely masked all of them perfectly. I honestly could not see any darker or lighter patches coming through at all, which amazed me.
The patch of the same shade (which effectively now had 3 coats in total) showed no visible difference either. Based on that, I really could have applied just a single coat with a roller in the entire room and achieved the same end result. However, my wife insisted on 2 coats, which was a waste of money in my view. One coat does it!
Also, when cutting in the corners and ceiling/skirting edges with a brush, the finish blends-in perfectly.
Warning, guide your colour choice according to the booklet, not the example on the side of the tester pots. The booklet colour indication is 100% accurate. Also, painting 1m square patches on a white wall made all the shades look really dark, but once the room was covered, it looked far less drastic.
Also, the shades are highly changeable in differing lighting conditions (natural and artificial) so take time to observe them between day and night settings.
Outstanding paint, flawless finish, easy and quick to use, worth every penny. No hesitation recommending this and I will be covering the rest of the house with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by spider38 Great finish when first applied
Never tried F&B paint before, but watered down slightly it covered bare plaster well for a first coat, then the second produced a great finish. Unlike other product like Dulux Vinyl Matt though, it does mark much more easily, and any attempt to remove marks leaves a shiny patch. I haven't tried touching it up, but have been warned by someone else that had used the paint that as natural pigments are used, after about six months in the tin, the colour won't match what is on the wall! So, a lovely very matt finish and good coverage when first applied, but marks very easily.

A lovely paint BUT it marks far too easily. If you wipe it or brush against it as my bathroom fitter did it will leave a shiny streek..in fact lots of them right up the side of the stairs !!

It is worth paying that little bit more for Farrow & Ball - for the quality.
