Rated 5 out of 5 by lini excellent foam
Tried 5 different types of expanding foam on a project. The hombase own make suprisingly cost the most. However it was infact the best density and it all left the cannister easily so was easy to use and gave total value for money. When compared to the others used on project which had poor foaming or failure to leave cannisters....home base own happy to recommend to others

Not up to standard at all. Was too runny when applying and required a lot of clean up after application compared to other branded makes. Buy cheap get cheap!

Product did exactly what i needed it to do. Moved into a new house with a few extra holes in the walls!! Expanding foam to the rescue! No more chilly drafts in the bathroom on those 4 o'clock wake ups!!

good quality product , not cheap tho and too much for what i needed, a smaller sized tin / container would be a good idea.

This really, really does expand. I used this to block a hole in my eaves where the starlings were getting into the attic and starting to build a nest. I sprayed it into the hole from inside the house. Over the next two days it just kept getting bigger and bigger until it was about the size of a bucket and a half.
The starlings tried pecking through it but I think they eventually realised that on the other side there was a lump the size of the moon so they gave up.
When first applying it, it is quite liquid and tends to drip. It's also quite sticky and can make a mess on whatever it lands on. After trying to wipe it off my deck (where it had dripped out of the hole), I realised the next day I should have just left it for a day or two. After it solidified it would have come off much more easily. Instead, I had wiped it into the decking grooves, which made it harder to get out/off after it dried.

I used to fill a big gap by my bedroom window and it did the job perfectly. As it kept expanding to fill the void, i ended up having to slice some of the excess off once it had cured.
Difficult to clear the applicator tube, i used a twig from my garden to poke out the offending foam whilst still wet, and the remainder once it had dried.
