Nice looking shelf great for display but not the strongest and takes only limited weight. Not really suitable for heavy books.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Stephen The worst product I have ever purchased here
Put simply, don't buy this. The shelves hang 10 degrees off horizontal and the jigging of the spigots is out so the securing holes are not always in the same place. This. Product is absolute rubbish and in all honesty a sheet of melamine and a couple of grey brackets would look better on a wall than these droopy shelves.

Homebase should stop selling these as they are absolute rubbish. Brought two of them and they are wobbly, insecure and learn forward without any weight on them at all, they look terrible and are not fit for purpose.
Very disappointed and surprised Homebase would sell such rubbish! Will go elsewhere in future as we are throwing these in the bin as unfortunately I didn't keep the receipt as I couldn't see there being anything wrong with them.....how wrong I was!

We bought two of these. I would have taken them both back for a refund, but decided it was easier to leave the one I did put on on so that I wouldn't have to tidy up the holes in the wall!
Anyway, two main problems: the shelf is not flush with the wall and there is movement. There's even a slight slope on the shelf. I thought it could be one dodgy unit, but when I looked at the second shelf I realised they are both manufactured the same.
Secondly, no way would I put the recommended max weight of 25kg on the shelf. It feels nowhere near strong enough.

To be honest, I am loathed to even give these shelves the 1 star I’ve had to. Absolute rubbish! Save your money and buy something decent. We’re no strangers to DIY after having renovated 3 homes, but after fixing these tight to the wall they just wobble terribly and the shelf itself drops due to the lack of structure inside of the shelf. We’re now having to find a solution due to the appalling quality!!!!!!!!

I agree with other reviews.spigot holes are too big and shelf droops about 5 degrees.can be fixed by knocking up end of spigots GENTLY with a hammer.plenty of screws holding it to wall.may not work if on plasterboard wall!perhaps thicken ends of spigots with masking tape?
