This shouldnt be named soothing white as its as soothing as a burst vein in your forehead as its zctually a very light blue, which when painted on doors and skirtings looks dirty and very wrong! I took it back an exchanged it for a crown satin in brilliant white instead.

Soothing white was on the tin - a nice off-white I thought. Wrong. This paint has a distinguishable tinge of blue - making the finish very cold looking. Hoping that the colour would change during the drying process, I was disappointed - it didn't. A trip to another retailer was in order and I purchased a white that stayed white.
Having said that, the quality of the paint was fine. Its just the name of the colour is a little misguiding.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jane Very thin - poor quality
This paint is awful. It is very runny even though I stirred it as instructed. This means that it ends up everywhere when you are trying to apply it. Also brushes cannot be cleaned in water making cleaning up afterwards more difficult.
On the plus side - the colour is nice and the finish was ok when dry. However the difficulty in applying it means that I would not recommend it.

I had just repainted my room using brilliant white matt
and bought this paint for the doors and skirts. I had applied a white undercoat previous to using this paint.
The 'soothing white' actually looked silver grey against the brilliant white walls, and was not what I expected or wanted. Had to repaint with a brilliant white.
Quality OK, just not expecting the colour.
