I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the parasol and the ease of building it. Overall very happy at another good Homebase buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sal P A good parasol for the price
The parasol is well made and feels quite sturdy and certainly provides plenty of shade. I particularly like the ability to angle the shade depending on the direction of the sun. It was not a particularly easy task following the instructions to assemble, and definitely required a bit of brut force, but once it had been correctly put together it is very easy to use.
My only gripe is with quality control. The material is frayed in one area where the stitching has not satisfactorily hemmed the umbrella and this should have been picked up prior to dispatch.

This was bigger than I expected but what I needed to provide a good sized spread of shade on our patio, without impeding space. We haven't had one this size before but I'm glad I went for it as I've always found the smaller ones simply don't provide enough shade cover. The cantilever action is easy to use & great for angling the shade as the sun moves across & the 360 degree turn is really useful for turning it to other areas e.g. our table which is on a different part of the patio to our sun loungers (using a foot pedal at the bottom). It was reasonably easy to put together but ideally a two-person job. What the product info doesn't tell you is that it comes with its own cover, we bought a separate one which I then had to return as we didn't need it. The cover has a rather strange method of placing it over the closed parasol, it has a stick you run up the side of the cover next to the zip. But we had to make the hole in the material bigger to get it in (it's hidden down at the bottom, just a little cut in the material) & we had to file down the end of the stick to push it through. Also it doesn't tell you that you need to buy four of the parasol base weights, each box only holds one, so by the time you've added in the cost of these as well your parasol comes to well over £200

Rated 4 out of 5 by Glenda Fletcher My husband has already completed a survey saying although the product we bought was faulty, on returning same to the store the time and assistance we received from Phil was very satisfactory. We checked the replacement item in store - this again was faulty - so Phil then dismantled the display item and transported it to the car with my husband.

This is the second cantilevered parasol we have had. The first one (not from Homebase) was a cheaply made Chinese copy with a plastic main bearing that finally gave up the ghost in a slight breeze.
This model is a different design and is very well made using the appropriate materials for the job - aluminium and fibre glass.
Easy to assemble and erect, it can be swivelled to the required position and locked in place. Very happy with this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BCJ Very nice ... BUT
Very nice Parasol, wide enough for our table for 6.
Annoyed that no mention of having to drill in place to hold down or it will topple as top heavy. We are currently using bricks and an old wrought iron parasol base to keep it steady.
