Bought this as a back to front doorbell. The button goes in the kitchen, the doorbell itself goes in the garage. The idea being that the missus doesn't get wet when it's raining.
Simple device but fairly well made, up and running in seconds, works a treat. Pretty good value for money.

This is a good reasonably priced doorbell kit. Only one chime ( ding dong) and does not work off mains only batteries. Half the price of most portable kits, so you get what you pay for!

Easy to fix and has a nice loud chime. Can hear it from all parts of the house.

The bell push is a very poor design - the lugs that hold the cover to the back plate are inflexible and broke whilst removing the cover to insert the battery.
This is the weak link of any bell system. I returned the product and bought a Friedland model on line.

The screw holes are not drilled, only indicated on the back plate. The "UP" indication was not there on the back plate as indicated on the instructions , however neither of these problems should cause much trouble to anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of basic DIY and the study of the enclosed instructions. The fitting screws and plugs were concealed in the cavity for the batteries which I discovered after hunting through my mountain of screws. I was going to award it 3 stars but for the price and only the gripes detailed above 4 seems more appropriate.
