Though very easy to fit i am very disappointed with the final result. Though flow from shower is marginally improved it is nowhere near as good as expected and only a little better than before. Not worth the £ outlay.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MaverickPT Good but missing fittings
Purchased this unit to replace the old identical unit which failed after three years...and that was a replacement for another like for like one which failed after three years. Funny how the warranty is just for 2 years eh?!!
Like for like replacement however 2 issues occurred;
1- the fittings, screws and spacers were absent??!! Thankfully I was able to use the old ones but if I hadn't had the old unit I would have had to purchase fittings.
2- every single unit has one major design fault. The exit pipe which connects to the shower hose never gets a good fit to the shower hose. It's made of plastic and the hose only screws 1 turn before the 99% probable cross threading occurs. The fitting is utter junk and I cannot see why the engineers do not modify this flaw, unless no one on quality control is awake.
Bottom line- it's ok but there are no other products like this on the market otherwise I would try them. The same design fault and fact I will have to replace this in another three years saddens me.
I will enjoy an extra 25% boost of water for close to 950 days!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ardmark Good booster pump
Before fitting this pump my shower was a barely adequate trickle of 3 litres per minute. The pump has at least doubled the flow rate and now I have a deluge of hot water. It works with a thermostatic mixer perfectly, and is very easy to install. It is worth noting that the instructions recommend a RCD should be fitted, which is sensible anyway so if you don't have one on your fuse board (consumer unit) then you will need to fit one somewhere along the supply cable, before the isolating switch (yes you'll need one of those as well).
It is a bit noisy but you get used to that quickly. The only complaint is that the pump does not start automatically - you need to turn the water on then the pump, and turn the pump off before the water.
A good solution to an inadequate shower flow, but would be better if it was automatic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Steve, Beds Does everything Triton claim
Triton claim this pump doubles the flow, and it does, brilliantly.
They don’t claim it is like a power shower, and it isn’t.
We replaced a 25 year old shower mixer valve and enclosure, and the new one only produced a weedy 3 litres/minute. We left the choice of shower to the fitters, so our fault I suppose. Because of the pipework layout, an in-line pump could not be fitted, and this pump was the only solution we could find. We now get 6 litres/minute, which is fine.
No plumbing, just connect the hoses. But because of current regulations, the electrical wiring is a professional job, so add that cost on.
It is easy to measure flow. Time how many seconds to fill a 1 litre measuring jug, and divide into 60, e.g. 20 sec, so 60/20 = 3 litres/minute.
If a shower had a really poor flow, say 1 litre /minute, then doubling that to 2 litres/minute still would not be enough.
The only downsides:
1) A unit on the wall and 2 hoses doesn’t look as neat as some might like.
2) It is noisy.

We fitted this to a low flow mixer tap and it has boosted it to be a decent shower. I would recommend this product.
