Brilliant Axe. Not too heavy, yet enough weight in it that you can get some real power when chopping down into wood. Grrrrr.
I've used it mainly on roots of bushes and small trees and it's gone through them like a hot knife through butter. So the blade is nice and sharp.
It's got a lovely grip and feel to the handle though I'd recommend using gloves as well so to protect soft hands...unless unlike me you already have strong manly hard hands. In that case don't bother with the gloves as the grip is more than good enough.
Be sure to get some eye protectors (health and safety) and then chop away. It's also highly recommended to grow a grizzly beard and wear a checked shirt when using the axe. It helps aid effectiveness and definitely adds to the lumberjack feel.
All in a must for every real mans garden shed.

I wanted a heavier axe to use for chopping out garden trees / root (heavier than the hand axe I was using), and this proved far more effective.
