Have used this product on more than one occasion when fitting coving and ceiling roses. Easy to use, smooth and fill with, I would recommend this to anyone wanting good quality adhesive.
It takes well and it can also be used as a filler for small pits etc in plaster work.
excellent - Homebase prices are somewhat confusing though as it makes more sense to buy the bigger pot over the smaller ones as there is a large leap in price otherwise.

This Artex adhesive tub is a god sent, used it to stick up coving for the living room and bedroom still lots left, grabs well, (coving best secured with pinning nails as well).
Little tip if you have any spare tubes and tube gun, push out the bottom of the used tube and fill with a putty knife the Artex Adhesive then use (bottom plug back in place obviously), or use direct with a putty knife. Fantastic for filling in gaps too and sanding down then painted. Can't fault it.

This is a good all round multi-purpose adhesive. I have used it on both high density polystyrene coving and wooden dado rail to good effect.

Used tihs to put coving up. Spent ages getting one wall perfect only to have the coving fall off the wall, damaging the lengths of it. It seemed as if the adhesive was next to useless, too slidey and didnt grip enough.
I then moved onto using no-more-nails, before trying the rest of this stuff a few weeks later. This time however, the stuff was fine, it seemed to have dried out abit. Used it to cove 2 whole rooms with no problems. It drys quickly, and you can use it like filler, to fill the gaps and sand easily afterwards.
So all in all, mixed opinions on it. Just make sure you watch it if you use it on coving in case it falls down!

Being inexperienced at coving I struggled with the thick gelatinous mass to spread it on the coving and lost half of it on the floor as it just fell off in lumps. I then bought a second tub of the same product elswhere and found it much easier to use and more flexible. I guess I must have picked up a tub of old stock though it did not have a date stamp on it. So be warned, if you can't spread it take it back and get it replaced, I wish I had done that.
