I do a lot of decorating and am fussy about what products I use.
The 80 grit sandpaper is good for initially sanding down old paintwork and woodwork before finishing off with the 120 grit ready for repainting.
The thickness of the backing paper on some other brands makes them so rigid that they don't 'follow the surface'. The Homebase one is just about right- thin enough to be sensitive to the surface when it is not flat ie fluted woodwork, but thick enough to hold together and not break up.
You can tear the roll to size and bend/fit to hand sanders without cracking.

I used this to take off really flaky old paint, it did the job a treat. As it comes on a roll, you can also use it with a sander.

Good Product, long lasting. I have used the same product before, but not so reasonably priced. Would definately buy it again.

This year, after a few years neglect, I tasked myself to restore and re stain a wooden clad side to our barn.
Over the years the existing stain had bubbled and peeled and it soon became obvious that the sandpaper I had was not going to be man enough or fast enough to rub down the cladding.
I went off to my local Homebase store and soon discovered a roll of Sandblaster. I chose the roll because it was more ecconomical and I could cut the sheet to the sizes I wanted.
I was very pleased with the product as it sanded easily and fast, didn't clog and therefore very ecconomical to use.
Now I still have nearly half a roll left for next years challenges.

Wanting some sandpaper to take the gloss off some skirting, I was deliberating whether to buy a cheap pack of sandpaper or this. I went for the 3M stuff and am glad I did. It's definitely quicker as it lasts longer than normal sandpaper so you don't have to keep changing it so often.

A rough job but sandblaster helped to make it a smooth finish.
