Rated 4 out of 5 by Joe Nice product but eats batteries
I bought one of these for the garden shed, product has worked very well. Only draw back is that it "eats" batteries and I am changing them every 4-6 weeks.. 4x AA duracells. Looking at getting a dedicated 6v supply which will permanently supply the current needed and negate the use of batteries.. Overall, A great product!

Having struggled on with these things long beyond the point where the attempt should have been abandoned, the final straw came when one of the alarm units went off for no apparent reason – there was a noticeable absence of burglars at the time – while the other unit did not. Since the units are (allegedly) linked so that where one goes off, so does the other, this represented a final failure of the products to behave in the manner described in the literature. And the remote control failed to turn the noisy one off, necessitating an uncomfortably loud few minutes and a screwdriver to get the batteries out.
After half a day’s hunting through my receipt collection for the relevant paperwork, off back to the shop to ask Customer Services for a refund. They listened with genuine attention to my description of the impossibility of making these things work and first offered a replacement, although there was then only one alarm unit in stock. However there was no hesitation when I requested a full refund as I no longer trust these things to do anything other than malfunction and, apart from the need to now track down something similar by another manufacturer, I am satisfied with the outcome.
