Having spent a week camping in Scotland and broken two rubber mallets trying to knock in tent pegs we resorted to the Club Hammer (lump hammer). It proved excellent and up to the job in knocking in rock pegs in hard ground. The Hickory wooden shaft is good to handle and very durable, the hammer head is a good weight with a broad head that is excellent for using with a cold chisel.

Easy to hold. Big, so you can find it when you need a friend. A delight to hold and it is heavy enough for what you want to do.

I bought this to use with a bolster to remove old mortar/cement from old paving slabs. It is a nice compact size with just the right amount of weight for what I needed. Much better that the hammer that I had been using.
